COLOR ME ADVOCACY YOUTH PROGRAM & AFTER SCHOOL

Color Me Advocacy, is a mobile outreach program where teen participants exhibits extraordinary leadership and coaching skills by educating peers on the topic of human trafficking, domestic violence and other teen related social issues. Our creative arts team is designed to get teens involved in advocating and shedding light on the real problems that young adults are faced with by utilizing their talents in singing, dance, visual artistry and spoken word.

Civic Engagement

Getting the youth actively involved in the community Is very important.  Youth engagement is healthy and vital and creates representation and space for the youth to share what their interest are and also help community leaders understand the issues that the youth are faced with on a daily basis.

At FYFJC our color me advocacy youth are focused on changing the environment that they live in, creating spaces for youth and community leaders to engage in deep conversations, and helping to make their communities safe and clean.

Peer to Peer education

Our Color Me Advocacy Youth participate in trainings on social issues, health issues that affects youth such as abuse, human trafficking, domestic violence and they turn around and teach their peers on the dangers of these problematics subjects. Our youth have participated in educating over 2,000 Inner city youth through street outreach, sharing information via online and in person training.
