Monique Ferguson-Riley, the founder of Freedom Youth LLC and Freedom Youth Family Justice Center located in the Bronx, New York has always been passionate about working with at-risk youth within the community. In 2013, she worked at the YMCA as a member service representative. It was in this place where she first realized a need for preventative outreach and support among the youth that frequent the YMCA. She decided to form a small support group and performing arts-based program where she taught the children how to overcome stress by using their artistic ability to express themselves. That was the beginning of the organization that is now called Freedom Youth.

Giving Hope To The Youth

As a mother of five, Monique is concerned with the inconsistency of the government when it comes to keeping our children safe. In her youth, she went through so much, including peer pressure, self-hatred, sexual assault, foster care, and being trafficked.

Monique uses these experiences to teach the youth about the dangers of human trafficking & commercial sexual exploitation of children. She desires to create a safe place for them to be able to heal and build their self-esteem. She believes that is what makes Freedom Youth LLC  highly competitive.
